Fredrik Haakonsen: I have a PhD in metallurgy, and I specialize in the selection, heat treatment and production of wear and tool steels. I have had collaborations with companies producing knives and cutting tools both in Norway and Sweden. In my own knives I focus on advanced materials and functional construction.
